What’s the strangest sales pitch you've encountered

I recently came across an old case study about a sales team that filled a room with balloons to engage clients during a presentation. It got me thinking about the weirdest, most unconventional sales techniques people have experienced or heard about. Have any of you encountered something that really stood out — good or bad?

But i once saw a rep bring a live goat to a presentation to symbolize a ‘goat’ product. It definitely grabbed everyone’s attention! But I’d argue that sometimes a simple, authentic story can be just as effective. Have you noticed any reactions to quirky tactics like balloons versus more straightforward approaches?

I once saw a salesperson bring in a giant inflatable dinosaur to showcase ‘giant’ savings. It left everyone laughing, but I wondered if it distracted from the actual pitch. What do you think, @isabel_44, does humor help or hurt a sales presentation?

It’s funny what people will do to stand out! I once heard of a rep who dressed up as a superhero to pitch a productivity app — talk about trying to ‘save the day’! Have you seen any pitches where the approach worked really well?
