Rolling out MEDDICC in CRM

I’m mapping MEDDICC into Salesforce for a 12-rep team and need manager visibility without turning reps into data clerks. Pilot setup used seven picklist fields, a formula-based risk score, and a close-date dashboard, which cut stage slippage 18% in six weeks; has anyone seen better adoption using a single MEDDICC custom object with Screen Flows or embedding the checkpoints in Opportunity Path?

Ended up ditching the custom object — embedding MEDDICC checkpoints on Opportunity with Path + Dynamic Forms kept clicks down and managers engaged. We gated just 3 fields per stage and added one ‘MEDDICC update’ quick action that runs a Screen Flow only at Commit; adoption beat our custom-object pilot by about 25% in four weeks while keeping your ‘formula-based risk score’ intact. Tiny caveat: if you need historical snapshots, add a lightweight child object populated nightly via Flow; doc: Salesforce Help.

Best adoption for us: fire a short Screen Flow only when moving to Commit/Negotiation to confirm EB + DC, and surface the formula risk score in Path; everything else stays inline on Opportunity. We kept seven picklists but made them conditional and auto-populate Metrics from last won ACV via Flow, so the close-date dashboard stays trustworthy without turning reps into data clerks. If reps live on mobile, swap the flow for a prefilled Global Quick Action, @fredrick_m99.
