How to Handle Objections More Effectively

I’ve been noticing that our team often struggles with objections during sales calls, and I’m curious about what strategies others are using to turn those moments into opportunities. We recently implemented a role-playing tool that has shown some promise, but I’d love to hear any suggestions or experiences that have worked for you in similar situations.

One thing that helped our team was reframing objections as questions. When a prospect says something like, ‘I need to think about it,’ instead of just accepting that, we ask, ‘What specific concerns do you have?’ It opens up a dialogue and often reveals deeper issues we can address. Have you tried that approach?

It’s interesting how often objections can be opportunities in disguise. I once turned a ‘I need to think about it’ into a discussion about priorities, which helped uncover the prospect’s real concerns. But I’ve also learned not to push too hard — sometimes giving them space can work wonders too, @anne_holt30.
